About John

John started out in Pony Club Games at 14 yr and then got hooked on eventing. He has started and ridden many horses through the Advanced level.
John Williams earned his BA from the School of American Crafts at the Rochester Institute of Technology specializing in woodworking and furniture design. Little did his professors know that he’d put his skills to work, not on furniture, but on designing and building cross-country jumps in preparation for his role as a cross country course designer.

John has always preferred to buy young, inexperienced prospects to develop himself and bring up through the levels. John's most well-known horse, Carrick, was purchased as a 3 yr old and produced to the highest level. Carrick and John represented the US Eventing Team in 2002 and 2004.
